the beaches
What you should not miss,
a trip to the most beautiful beaches in our area.
Let us show you which ones they are!
The largest beach is La Cinta, a strip of white sand that stretches for about 3 km and divides the lake from the sea. It offers fun and sport, relaxation and peace, especially in the last part of the beach, where it is more difficult to get to.
Towards the north are other smaller but still beautiful beaches, such as Punta di l'Àldia (Puntaldia), Lu Impostu and Cala Brandinchi. Further north, there are small coves (Salina bamba, Baia Salinedda) that extend towards Capo Coda Cavallo, the closest point to the island of Molara. From there on, we find the beaches of Coda Cavallo, Cala Suaraccia, la Pipara, until we reach Punta Molara, Cala Ginepro and Cala Ghjilgolu.
South of La Cinta beach, we find the beaches Cala d'Ambra, Isuledda and Costa Caddu. If you have your dog with you, the dog beach is located between the latter two.

In the evening the town comes to life
In the evening, the town comes to life with numerous market stalls animating the streets of the centre and selling local crafts and souvenirs. If you like nightlife, there are some popular historic dance clubs where you can spend the night. During the summer, various events are organised, whether it be theme nights in the clubs or cultural festivals, such as the Tavolara Film Festival and Time in Jazz, which also stop off in San Teodoro in the beautiful setting of the Lagoon, or San Teodoro Jazz and Sun and Bass, both at the beginning of September.
cuisine and traditions
During your holiday in San Teodoro you must try the Suppa Gaddhuresa
A particular thick soup made with stale bread, broth and cheese, which in the local version is enriched with fresh mint, very mild in taste and with a unique flavour. Other typical dishes are lu 'Pulceddhu arrustu' (the 'porcetto' in Italian), li Siati (a sweet made of fried dough filled with cheese and topped with honey or sugar).
You should also try the chjiusoni (handmade gnocchi) and puligioni (ravioli) with meat sauce.
Our soil also offers a lot of excellent wines, one of which is the Vermentino di Gallura.
